Muuse reusables are coming to Canada through DreamZero
TORONTO, October 8th, 2020- DreamZero, a social enterprise specializing in educating and assisting the food and beverage industry in implementing reusable cup and container programs, announced today that they have signed a deal with Muuse of Singapore, to sell and distribute their products and services throughout Canada.
“The Muuse program has a proven track record of providing consumers with a reusable option for beverage and food in pickup and delivery scenarios” said Ryan Dyment, COO of DreamZero. “Their program has grown during the COVID crisis in Asia due to their focus on hygiene and customer satisfaction”.
Muuse is currently operating in Singapore, Hong Kong, Jakarta and San Francisco. Muuse has diverted over 45,000 single-use containers and cups, and believes this new business relationship with DreamZero will help it achieve an even greater impact.
“Canadian consumers made it clear they want single-use plastic alternatives”, says Muuse CEO Brian Reily. “This partnership with DreamZero will deliver clean reusable containers in the hands of Canadian consumers and help them reduce waste”.
According to a recent study from the Agri-Food Analytics Lab at Dalhousie University, 87% of Canadians are concerned about single-use plastic packaging's impact on the environment, 60% indicated they are actively shopping for non-single-use plastic goods and 79% support stronger regulations.
On October the 7th, the government of Canada announced that it will be banning a number of single-use plastic items including black plastic and styrofoam takeout containers, of which the Muuse program aims to replace.
